Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I’ve had a lovely holiday so far. Town has been pretty quiet with people away traveling and taking in the snowy slopes, so I’ve been running half-days at the boutique, dong my best to stay awake long enough to help the customers.
But no one minded, and everyone loved my outfit…
Daphne even asked if I’d like to go out on the town together…
After that, things slowed down a lot for the holiday proper. I mostly hung out at home, watching Christmas movies and contemplating my impending move.
Then, in a blitz of holiday spirit, I ended the day with a hot cup of tea and a photoshoot in the park, celebrating the season by wearing green.

Happy Winter Solstice, everybody! The day was so short that I hardly wanted to get out of bed…
…but I had to get myself downtown. I’d promised a customer from the day before that I’d meet her at the amusement park before the morning ended!
And when I got back to the store, once again, outfits were just flying off that popular mannequin of mine.
Can you say “adorable”?
That evening—which really felt like nighttime the moment the sun started to set—I headed over to the contest hall to try my hand at the International Contest’s cash prize. Guess my model and I weren’t quite up to snuff, though, since we only came in second…
Oh, and let’s not forget who got featured in today’s StreetSnaps digest…
So all in all, aside from it being pretty dark and cold out all day, my Solstice rocked!

It’s been months since I’d attempted an entry in the International Contest, or any fashion contest here in town, for that matter. I’ve had mixed successes with the International Contest in the past, and was stuck on one particular theme for so long that I almost threw in the towel. But earlier this month, I decided to give it another shot—just one more time. And, with the perfect outfit, I…
Well, after that victory, you better believe I gave it another go—and another, and another after that! Putting time and care into my outfit choices seemed to really wow the judges, because they handed out trophies and prizes from the exclusive brand Teatro Amare like I was some sort of fashion prodigy. And according to Avery, that’s actually what I am…
I have to say, it feels pretty good to not only have won the International Contest once or twice, but to have crushed it, to have complete and utter victory over it. I got to work with some of the top models in the business…
Spec-tac-u-LAR!
…and to attend the most posh after-party that I think I’ve ever been to.

I was going to get back into blogging with some much-needed recapping of my memories and photos that have gone begging over the past year or so, but then something else came up, as things tend to do. It’s just this—once I got back to the store and started switching things around…
…people started coming up to me and asking about the clothes being displayed by my mannequin.
A lot of these gals were first-time visitors to the boutique, which was pretty exciting in and of itself! After a couple of years, I thought I’d come to know everyone in town, but I guess that’s not the case quite yet.
How was I supposed to say no to so much enthusiasm?
So that’s what I’ve been up to lately—restocking the back room, and selling my mannequin out of ensembles just as fast as I can put them together! Can’t say I have a problem with it, though…
Especially since these gals–and guys–really know how to rock my outfits!

Well, hello there! To all the faithful readers who have browsed pages in my absence—thank you so much for supporting and believing in me. Your readership has meant a lot over the past couple of years! So much has happened that I’m not quite sure where to begin, but I’m confident that you don’t want to hear all about school, school, and school, where is where most of my time has gone. The boutique and life in general have also kept me busy-busy-busy, too busy to do more than think about the blog every once in a while. However, now that I’m officially coming back, I want to get things off to the right sort of re-start!
On that note, I suppose I’ll address the most pressing matter from the get-go: I’m thinking that it’s time to move on from sleepy little Styleville—to begin truly making my way up in the fashion world. While I love the city and all it has to offer, and I’ve made great friends here and taken amazing strides within my own career, I can’t shake the feeling that there’s something else out there—something more, that’s waiting for me. So I looked around a little, and started hearing word through the grapevine about a place called Beaumonde City.
What’s Beaumonde City, you ask? An excellent question, seeing as I hadn’t heard of it myself before just a couple of days ago. Well, apparently, it is THE place to be if you’re anyone who wants to become Anyone in the fashion world these days. Beaumonde’s passion for fashion had flagged in the past—perhaps why I hadn’t heard of the place before—but now the community is coming back steady and strong, providing openings in retail, modeling, hair styling, cosmetics, and even clothing design for up-and-coming fashionistas such as yours truly! As if that weren’t enough to tempt me, apparently my grandmother left me an inheritance there, something from years ago. I’m not sure what it might be, but I do have a feeling that it will be key to establishing my place in this brave new space.
The only complication is that Beaumonde is far—quite far—from where I’m living now. So it’s going to take me a bit of time to pack my bags and say good-bye to Styleville University, and to the people who have taught me and helped me so much over the years. On top of that, I’ll have to do what may be the hardest thing of all—that is, say good-bye to Lilac Breeze, and hand it over to the assistants who have more than proven their worth through all the times they’ve been there to lend me a helping hand.
No one said it would be easy, but I believe I’m ready for it. And one way or the other, you can be sure that new adventures in fashion await us! Check back soon for more—and know that, for the time being, I’m back for good.
