Oh, Adelaide…

11/15/16
Well, our first two contests went off without a hitch, so naturally something had to go wrong by now. Shortly after selling out on tickets for our third show, Ricky invited Sophie, Callie, and I to a party celebrating our first two fabulous successes.

Once I learned it was going to be hosted at the poshest restaurant in town, of course there was no way I’d say no!

Who doesn't love a night out with her best girlfriends?

I mean, who doesn’t love a night out with her best girlfriends? 😉

However, we were all surprised and more than a little sad when Ricky’s older sister, Adelaide, decided to crash the show.

Needless to say, this was NOT the outcome we’d planned for…

Now, it seems, Adelaide will stop at nothing to see Ricky stop pursuing fashion, and that leaves the city with no place to host our shows. But not if I have anything to say about it…

I know there’s got to be a way to win this girl over, and I won’t stop trying until I do!

Coming Up Contests

11/12/16

Wow, so much has happened here in Beaumonde City—in just the past few months, the place has gone from a cute little borough to a booming world of fashion, and I’ve been right there at the middle of it all. I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had the time to so much as think about writing until today. That’s because we’ve just wrapped up the second of Beaumonde’s fashion contests, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the way they each turned out!

When Ricky, Sophie, and Callie first approached me about participating, I wasn’t sure what to make of it. Sophia and Callie were especially surprised when Rickey said we’d be the ones modeling!

But with a little convincing, we were all ready to give it a try.

The most fun, of course, is trying to sell tickets…

Our first contest’s theme was Girly, so I put together ensembles for Sophie, Callie, and of course myself.

Everyone was thrilled with the way things turned out, of course!

Then it was on me to keep counting ticket sales and working to fill that huge arena for a second time.

When I got the email, I ran straight over!

Words just can’t describe the thrill of walking through that door.

Our theme this time was just…cool.

Like, just be cool.

Like, just be cool.

No big deal, right?

Once again, the contest was a huge success, and I’ve heard nothing but praise from fans and customers ever since.

What did I tell you? One day I knew I’d be on that bulletin board!

Green is Good For You

9/28/13

Wow, what a beautiful day. The wind was blowing, the leaves were just starting to fall, and it wasn’t even too cold! I celebrated with a breezy sort of outfit and took a long walk through the park, where I happened to meet up with Daisy.

Green grapes and good health!

The store wasn’t too busy in the afternoon, so I finally found the time to try the café’s seasonal spiced pumpkin latte.

Man, I’ve been waiting all year for this!

By then the sun was going down, so it was time to head for the contest hall…and suck up my first loss in a while.

I’m just not good at making “girly” outfits!

Hopefully, the coming fall colors will bring along some much-needed fashion inspiration!

You Call This Summer?

8/2/13

July was great—lots of long nights out under the stars, smelling barbecue smoke at the picnic area, walking along the river, and chatting under the perpetual rainbow in the park. But all of a sudden, these past few days have turned downright chilly. It’s disheartening, to say the least.

I had so many plans that might now have to fall by the wayside (what if one jar of homemade jam is all I can manage this year?!), including selling out on my summer stock at the boutique! But in the end, Mother Nature’s in the one in charge, right? Ah, well. I guess winning a contest sort of makes up for it.

Let’s Hit the Beach!

7/14/13

Summer officially started today when I stopped by the local beach this morning. The sun was just coming up, so it wasn’t too hot. The best part was, I got to wear a swimsuit!

Swimsuit

You wouldn’t believe how many of these things I have in my closet…

After that, I spent some time around the store, and met a gal dressed up in a fully traditional kimono! That was something special.

Kimono

You don’t see clothes like this very often!

In the evening, I tried my hand at a boho-chic-themed contest … and won, of course.

Not that my score mattered—the weather alone was enough to make today fantastic. Well, that and my newly decked-out apartment!

Orange

According to a magazine I read the other day, orange is in this season, so…

Orange

I went pinky-orange for some summertime fun!

Why, Hello, The Internet

6/24/13

I bet you’re all wondering what happened during my overly-prolonged hiatus, huh? Well, not having Internet access will do that to a person. My service died at the beginning of the month, and it took them two whole weeks to get out here and fix it! I ask you, taking that much time to service my home … I’m practically a local celebrity. Come on, guys.

I do have some pictures from earlier in the month, but I wasn’t able to upload them until now. I hope you’ll be willing to overlook the delay and just enjoy the slideshow below! From now on, updates will happen once a week … Well, so long as my Internet doesn’t give out again.

On to International

5/19/13

I had a jam-packed day yesterday, starting when I met customer Rebekah at the Lavender Fields.

Lavender

I love this place—it just smells so great out here!

I then hit the Teahouse with Daphne…

Lunch

We got tea and sweet crepes—that’s my kind of lunch.

…got my hair done, and redecorated my apartment to match my outfit.

Then it was time to head to the contest hall, where my fate in fashion awaited me.

Believe it or not, I got 4th! Emmylou placed 2nd, and her outfit didn’t even fit the theme.

Fish

“Guess we’ve both got some bigger fish to fry…”

Ah, well. That’s that, and there will always be other opportunities. I cheered myself up by choosing an outfit for Hazel, who’s now a regular customer…

Hazel

…and who loves flirty stuff!

Then I went home and chose a new outfit for myself…

PJs

One at the perfect comfort-level for pajamas. Good night!

Let’s Watch a Movie

5/17/13

For those of you multimedia people out there, I asked my pal Teagen to take a ton of photos of a contest I entered a while back, and together we rolled them all into a little animation. I think it turned out pretty well, don’t you?

Also, I like music. Who doesn’t? So, here’s one of the tops hits from my playlist for you to enjoy while you browse. (If it’s not showing up, try reloading.) Remember, it’ll only play while you stay on this page!

5/16/13

I got my hands on a new brand yesterday, a brand not normally found in Styleville…

GracieGrace

Behold, the exclusive GracieGrace!

Aren’t these pieces just the cutest you ever saw?

GracieGrace

Go on, admit it!

So after admiring myself in the mirror for most of the morning, I finally headed out to take a stroll around town and see if anyone would notice my new outfit. I bumped into this girl Sharon in the park…

Walk

Great weather for a walk!

…and then ran into Teagen downtown.

People-watching.

“Ooh, nice cheekbones on her…”

I even got a chance to help Shea pick a new outfit that would fit a little better with the “street” theme in the store.

Street

Perfect!

In the past couple of days, I also entered two different themes in the Elite Contest, and, naturally, won both of them. It only look three tries for me to get the pop-Japanese style down…

Winner

Blue will always do it!

…and of course I had no trouble at all with the “edgy” theme.

Edgy

Man, edgy is my jam!

After seeing me sweep it all away, Avery promised to line up some new challenge, and today she and MC Mode dropped by Lilac Breeze to deliver. Apparently I’m up against Emmylou in a forthcoming fashion competition–this should be a lot of fun.

New Girl in Town

2/15/13

Today, on my way to the Contest Hall to style a model for my second Elite Contest, I had a flash of inspiration and shot a text to my neighbor who lives a couple of apartments down the hall. She’s just as into fashion as I am, and Avery and Michaela didn’t see a problem with us styling something together, so that’s just what we did. It’s too bad my cell ran out of battery halfway through, or I would have gotten a photo of her and her winning model.
